A Commitment to Excellence

On June 15, 2010 the Navy Exchange (NEX) Main Store reopened its doors to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the increased capacity and service of this newly renovated facility. Headlining this magnificent gala was one of San Diego's more notable celebrities and honored guest Mr. Tony Gwynn. The former Padre and Hall-of-Fame standout greeted the crowd and assembled dignitaries and even took time from his busy schedule to provide autographs. Tony's wife, Alicia, is one of NEX's more notable vendors with her exceptional line of nutritional food products. The Main Store's reopening marked the completion of Naval Base San Diego's expansion of the NEX Navy Exchange and crowns the facility as the military's largest retail facility in both size and volume in the world.

For its exceptional effort in minimizing impacts to the NEX facility's regular operations during construction (especially during the hectic holiday season!), the Navy recognized Soltek during the ceremony for its superb managerial effort. Congratulations are extended to the entire Soltek team on its commitment to customer service on this challenging and noteworthy project!
