Bonita-Sunnyside Library and Historical Museum Opens
Soltek Pacific recently completed work on the Bonita-Sunnyside Library and Historical Museum, a $5 million facility located at Bonita Road and Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista, Calif., for the County of San Diego. A ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony was held on Saturday, September 23, 2005.
Located on the first fairway of the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course, this project included construction of a new single-story 8,000-square-foot library, a 2,000-square foot community room, a 4,000-square-foot local history museum, a 400-square foot public safety center and a three-mile shared-use jogging trail. The San Diego branch library features a state-of-the-art computer lab and children's reading room.
The Soltek team included: Steve Thompson, Managing Corporate Officer; Sonya Mancilla, Project Manager, and Rick Austin, Superintendent.
Major subcontractors/suppliers included: Fitzpatrick Electric, Team C Construction, Western Steel, Challenger Sheetmetal, C&I Roofing, Spooners Woodworks, Sun Pacific, Klaser Tile and Mirstone Plastering.
