Dave Carlin Named President of Soltek Pacific

Dave Carlin has been appointed President of Soltek Pacific effective July 1, 2006, succeeding Larry Richie, who has served as President since 2003, and will retire from the company at the end of this year. Mr. Carlin has been with the firm for over 26 years, starting as a Project Superintendent in 1979 before being named Field Operations Manager in 1996 and Regional Manager in 2002. Projects of special note include the Bernardo Heights Middle School, and the Jacob Weinberger US Courthouse in downtown San Diego, which earned both a General Services Administration (GSA) Historic Preservation & Restoration Honor Award and the prestigious American Institute of Architects (AIA) Orchid Award.




Since 2003, Mr. Carlin has served as Vice President of Operations at Soltek, where he has been a driving force behind implementing company-wide process improvements while overseeing daily business operations. As President, his responsibilities will include corporate business development, assisting in daily operations, directing company growth and internal development, as well as acting as managing principal and providing management oversight for select projects.


Mr. Carlin is a former President of the Alpine Kiwanis Club and of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of San Diego Toastmasters group. In December 2004, Mr. Carlin was elected to a five-year term on the Board of Directors of the Associated General Contractors of America, San Diego Chapter.
