Safety First

NAVFAC presented Soltek with awards for safety on five different projects in the last six months. The first three projects, all on the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton include Repair BEQ 14031, Repair Recruit Barracks 31512 and 31513, and the P-083 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) facility. All three received the Safety Through Awards and Recognition (“STAR”) program award in April. In June and then in September two projects on the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake were recognized for reaching 100,000 hours without lost-time injury accident. The first was on the P-700V Weapons Survivability Complex, P-710V Hardware in the Loop and P-749V Fuze Test Facility project and the second on the P-719V Weapons and Armament RDT&E Facility #3 project. All honorable accomplishments.
