Phase 2 will include construction of 19 single and multi-story (2-3 Story) reinforced concrete buildings (121,000-TSF) with seismic upgrades, reinforced concrete foundations, concrete slab on grade. Congratulations to the Soltek team for completing MOUT 1 & everyone involved in obtaining MOUT 2.

The MOUT, located just 30 minutes from the MCAGCC main side area, is already being acknowledged as a city unlike any other. The MOUT covers approximately 280 acres, which is roughly the size of downtown San Diego, and encompasses an Olympic-size soccer stadium, a hospital, airport, large marketplace, prison, police compounds, schools, an industrial center, extensive underground tunnel systems and two embassies. Previously, these urban training facilities were limited to 35 buildings, which is hardly enough to prepare for the proper training which was required. Because of this, the Combined Arms MOUT was comprised in order to accommodate a full task force of 7,000 troops. Eventually, the Combined Arms MOUT will include 1,560 buildings in seven district—the urban core. Phase 1, which began in February 2007, is extremely dense and modern with 54 concrete buildings ranging from one to give stories each and 160 additional buildings made from galvanized steel as well as from other containers.
