St. Gregory the Great Catholic School

St. Gregory the Great is a parochial private school located on Stonebridge Parkway, a newly developed area of Scripps Ranch. This was the first phase of the planned multiple phased project thus requiring the grading of 10 acres prior to any construction. The new school consists of nine classrooms, three restrooms, a janitor’s closet, trash/electric enclosures and installation of underground infrastructure/utilities for future buildings. This project also included the addition of a kitchen and remodeling of the storage area at the existing St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church located on a separate site on Blue Cyprus Drive. This split site project made logistics challenging for Project Superintendent Bob Williams; however Ricky Davis provided support to help manage the two site locations. Soltek extended subcontracting opportunities to several subcontractors who have never worked on a Soltek project. The development of new working relationships with these subcontractors proved beneficial and the subcontractors were impressed with Soltek’s attention to quality control, performance and safety. Storm water pollution prevention (SWPP) was yet another challenge on this large site. 5000 bags of gravel were used along with plenty of cobble stones, silt fencing, and straw waddle to comply the major SWPP efforts needed for this project. The school is already in use and the faculty members, children and parents are thrilled with the new St. Gregory the Great Catholic School.

Thank you to all the Soltek team members who took part in this project: Project Manager - Larry Bouchard, Project Superintendent - Bob Williams, Foreman - Ricky Davis, Administrative Assistant - Felicia Herrera, Carpenter - Ivan Rosas and the Field Ops teams. Great Job!
