New Marina Yacht Club and Promenade

The new Yacht Club is a two story metal framed marina service building that houses the marina dock offices, other tenant spaces, laundry facilities, restrooms, showers and lockers. The building contains unique finishes such as a copper shingle roof, cement board siding with high performance epoxy coating, copper flashing, stainless steel doors, frames, handrail/guardrail, and an exterior wainscot of real rock.

The promenade walkway is a one-half mile of decorative concrete flatwork. The flatwork design includes multiple finishes including an ocean themed hand stamped finish, hand seeded aggregate ocean waves and an acid etched finish. It boasts a stained wood trellis supported by smooth color concrete columns, curved stone veneer benches, landscape planters and two specialty art walls. Upon its completion, these unique concrete art walls will be completely covered in custom photographic tile. Each tile will make up one piece of multiple murals that show Coronado in the early 1900's. This will be a beautiful complement to the pocket park that is adjacent to the Yacht Club and Promenade. The pocket park includes numerous stone veneer seating benches, an urban tree sculpture, picnic tables, plush landscaping and decorative unit pavers for the parking area.
