COVID-19 JOBSITE SANITATION EFFORTS
Soltek has led the charge in protecting their employees from the spread of COVID-19. Early on, each site designated a COVID-19 manager to ensure that site sanitation was implemented, and workers were following the CDC recommendations. Up to date safety tailgate meetings and prompt notification to all subcontractors of new site regulations were sent out. Signage was placed at multiple areas of each project to promote good hygiene and social distancing awareness. Office trailers, portable toilets and frequently touched items are being disinfected twice daily and more if needed. Each project site had innovative ideas such as, job made hand wash stations and hand sanitizer stations, staggering trades, only allowing project staff in field trailers, taking chairs out of offices and not allowing any person into personal offices to encourage social distancing. Soltek promptly developed the COVID-19 Code of Safe Practices, an Exposure Prevention Plan and the Safety Protocols for Construction Sites. Soltek has also procured 1,000 surgical masks and 700 face coverings for employees to protect themselves and others. Weekly Corporate site inspections focusing on compliance and good efforts show that Soltek is managing the COVID-19 spread and prevention effectively. Great job everyone for doing your part, slowing the spread and flattening the curve.
