Oak Park Elementary School - A Campus Transformed!

We are proud to celebrate the successful completion of the Oak Park Elementary School Whole Site Modernization were

Soltek's project team worked together with the San Diego Unified District to transform the campus into a vibrant, modernized, and welcoming learning environment just in time for students' return to school for the fall semester.

Expanding Facilities and Art Spaces

The scope of work included the construction of three brand-new buildings: a 9,750 sq. ft. Music building, a 7,482 sq. ft. classroom building, and a 6,072 sq. ft. kindergarten building, each designed to expand the school’s capacity and support the campus Visual and Performing Arts program. In addition to the new construction, four existing buildings underwent comprehensive modernization, while the administration building was reconfigured and renovated, providing a new single-point-of-entry service for staff and students.

Modernizations and Site Improvements

Onsite improvements featured the removal of 22 outdated modular buildings, the creation of a new pick-up and drop-off area, expanded parking, upgraded site lighting, new fencing, enhanced pedestrian walkways, water-conscious landscaping, and a fully upgraded playground with new play and shade structures. Offsite improvements also included connecting a new sewer outlet and water supply to support the schools’ expanded facilities. Soltek provided the underground connections for a new photovoltaic solar energy array, helping ensure the campus is sustainable and future ready.

Lasting Transformation for Students and Families

The transformation of Oak Park Elementary has brought bright, colorful new buildings and a dedicated space for the arts that will no doubt inspire students for generations to come. The new drop-off and pick-up area, along with a single point of entry, provides safer and more efficient campus experience for families.
