Soltek Breaks Ground at Roosevelt Middle School

Last Thursday April 9, 2024, Soltek stood proudly as parents, students and staff expressed their excitement for the renovations already underway at Roosevelt International Baccalaureate Middle School's Groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony featured musical performances by the school's jazz and orchestra students as well as speeches from staff, students and district representatives.

Scope of Work

Roosevelt International Baccalaureate Middle School will see improvements campus-wide with a Whole Site Modernization aimed to transform the campus into a more modern, efficient, and sustainable educational environment for both staff and students. The project scope includes constructing a new administration building featuring two classrooms, repurposing the existing administration building into six classrooms, and renovating two bathrooms. The project also involves modernizing the fire alarm system across the campus, and implementing new site work and landscaping throughout the entire campus.

A highlight of the renovation is the installation of a new photovoltaic system with carport structures in the south parking lot, aligning with renewable energy goals. Other improvements focus on enhancing parking lots, student drop-off, and pick-up areas to improve traffic flow and accessibility. Overall, these renovations will create a safer, more functional, and environmentally conscious learning environment for students and staff at Roosevelt Middle School.
