The Bo Concepts Tenant Improvement was delivered using the Design-Build system and produced an exceptional, versatile, and contemporary retail space whose flexibility and adaptability allows for a unique Downtown shopping experience.
The 9,000 sq. ft. retail space was completely redone on a 1.1 million dollar budget and features a stained concrete floor and demountable wall partitions that allow the space to be easily reconfigured to suit any space requirements. The ceilings are left exposed but are painted black to fade into the background and highlight the showroom floor. Theater quality lights are mounted to a track system that spans the entire space allowing for the quick rearranging of lighting and the ability to create showroom highlights without costly construction and renovations. A new storefront glazing system was installed that divided the inside from the outside and marquee signage was also added to the outside to delineate the store at the street level. A new HVAC system was added as well as a new security system.
Soltek worked with the Owner, the City of San Diego as well as CCDC to complete all the required permitting and inspections. Work was performed on nights and weekends in order to not disrupt adjacent businesses. The result was a fast paced project whose quality and attention to detail exceeded the client’s desires.
