Project Description

The King-Chavez Primary, Arts and Athletics Academy whole-site modernization project involved preconstruction and construction services delivered through a Lease-Leaseback approach. The work included complex phasing across two DSA packages and construction of a new 33,000-square-foot, two-story classroom building featuring 22 classrooms and designed in accordance with Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) standards. The modernization also encompassed removal of 17 portable classrooms, installation and rerouting of utilities, and related site improvements. Additionally, a new joint-use athletic field was constructed featuring a regulation-size soccer field with a perimeter walking track.
