O'Farrell Charter School Whole Site Modernization and Student Union Building

Project Description

This Lease-Leaseback project encompassed a phased, campus-wide modernization delivered across three GMPs. GMP 1 included installing nine temporary portable classroom buildings and the supporting utilities, plus removing and replacing roughly 31,000 square feet of paving and building a new bus parking area next to the existing baseball field. GMP 2 included classroom interior renovations, door and hardware replacements, new roofing and fascia for all buildings, breezeway soffit replacement, reconfiguring existing classroom spaces to create kindergarten-sized rooms, and campus improvements including a new lunch shelter, new synthetic turf, food service renovations, new auditorium seating, drainage improvements, and a new student drop-off area and parking. GMP 3 included construction of the new 12,550 square feet Student Union Building with a theater, chemistry classroom, music classroom, weight room, offices, student lounge, auxiliary and support spaces, and a concessions area that serves the adjacent football field.
