Job Description:
Soltek Pacific Construction has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual, prefers a challenge and is a team player for the position of Quality Control and Quality Assurance of the project at NAWS China Lake, Ridgecrest, CA. This project is located in San Bernardino County, CA.
The position will entail:
Quality Control Manager (QCM) and Assurance Manager (QAM): Oversee compliance of approved materials, assist with US Navy and project engineer with subcontractor pre-construction meetings, oversee testing, observation, and documentation associated with Building Enclosure Commissioning. Conduct the initial building start-up and assist with scheduling coordination visits from owner/IOR. Candidates should have a high level of coordination/technical communication skills.
Administration: Procure and maintain all subcontractor daily reports submitted to the Owner. Assist the Project Superintendent with site safety, safety orientation, establish and maintain records for review by owner and OSHA. Lead the construction team through the commissioning process. Assist the construction team with close out of the project.
Specified Requirements: Completed the course entitled “Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors” and maintain a current certificate. An individual with a minimum of 5 years of combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts which included the major trades that are part of this Contract. The individual must have at least two years’ experience as a QC Manager. The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1, and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability. Graduate of a four year accredited college or university program in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
