Soltek Awarded Personal Locker Storage Facility Contract
Soltek Pacific Construction Company has been awarded the $7,466,000 Personal Locker Storage Facility contract at Naval Station San Diego, California by the Department of the Army Family, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Command. The Design-Build project consists of a 41, 588 square foot two-story tilt-up concrete structure with metal roof. It will house the Personal Locker Storage Facility containing 1, 087 prefabricated metal storage personal storage lockers for use by sailors on extended cruises. The project will also include a new 1,195 square foot one-story split-faced concrete block administration area with a control desk/entry area, sales area, galley, toilets, and janitorial space. An adjoining 2,500 square foot high-bay Emergency Response Storage Facility will be constructed to support the adjunct mission element of the Emergency Response program. This facility will store equipment and supplies necessary for reacting to natural/manmade disasters that may affect Quality of Life Facilities on the West Coast region of the United States. The project will meet USGBC LEED Silver certification criteria.
