Soltek Receives Gold LEED Certification

Soltek Pacific Construction Company has received a Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certificate for New Construction from the U.S. Green Building Council for Soltek’s University of California Irvine (UCI) Anteater Instruction and Research Building project. The UCI Anteater was a design-build project which consisted of a new 60,000-sf campus surge building adjacent to a new 400 vehicle parking structure. This nationally recognized certification distinguishes Soltek’s UCI Anteater project as meeting the highest green building and performance measures and symbolizes that the project was environmentally responsible.

The project was lead by Steve Thompson, Managing Corporate Officer; William Naylor, Design Build Project Manager and Larry Bouchard, Project Manager. Soltek’s field operations personnel performed all site concrete, wall backfill, precast concrete installation, rough carpentry, door and hardware installation, firestopping, caulking and waterproofing.
