Two New Contracts Awarded to Soltek

On Friday May 07, 2010, Soltek Pacific Construction Company was awarded a $18.6 million contract from the State of California, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for the 45-Bed Acute/ Intermediate Care Mental Facility project and a $20 million contract from the County of Riverside for the Big League Dreams Perris Valley Sports Park project.

The 45-Bed Acute/ Intermediate Care Mental Health Facility project is located at the California Institution for Women in Corona, California. The 53,531 square foot project shall entail construction of a new two-story mental health facility with interior spaces designated for treatment, housing and administration. Exterior site work will include, site grading, building pad preparation, storm drainage improvements, utility extensions and connections, new access roads, expansion of the existing parking area and extension of the security fencing around the facility. Two new guard towers will also be constructed on site. Scheduled completion 2013.

The 30-acre Big League Dreams Perris Valley Sports Park project includes all site improvements to the existing facility, demolition, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, site utilities, electrical service and security lighting, all drainage and sub-surface drainage. The sports park shall require the installation of ball field lighting, chain link fencing, ball field backstops, multiple bleacher seating areas, ball field dugouts, ball field turf and installation of audio-visual system for electronic scoreboards. Other areas will include, various play areas for children, batting cages, a soccer building and administrative and maintenance buildings with associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems work. Exterior site work for the new facility and sports park includes both concrete and paved walkways, concrete headers, concrete steps, curb and gutters, asphalt base and paving, raised planters, masonry block walls, ornamental fencing, and new parking areas. Scheduled completion early 2011.
